Once upon a time, atrey.karlin.mff.cuni.cz was a Linux server at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University in Prague. It was one of the first Linux machines at the university, established in 1996 by Martin Mareš. It was running for more than 21 years, slowly changing its hardware configuration and administrators, and serving as home to many users and projects.
