Gentooing around

It's been a while since I changed GNU/Linux distributions, as I'm a happy Debian user (migrated from Ubuntu, we're still on good terms). However, I wanted to try something new, something I can fiddle with. Fiddling with the software is in my nature, and Debian offers mainly stability, which is not what I need that much these days. So I tried Gentoo.

Unclutter

Remember when the latest technology a writer used was a typewriter? I don't, but I guess those were productive times. Now the age of Web 2.0 arrived and with it Facebook, Twitter, IMs and other Waves. So is it worth it to go back in time?

Just legal

I'm going legal – from now on, I'll try to stick to music I bought in the past, and if I'm going to buy any more music, I'm going to do that on "fair" shops like Jamendo or Magnatune. Read on.
